Meet Amina Mohamed

BY Anum Bashir

We have our first contributing editor on “Let’s Face It”, and she knows what she’s talking about! For the longest time, my dear friend Amina Mohamed and I have found ourselves engaged in conversations surrounding beauty; the facials we get, the products we’re loving, and also how to steer clear of the botched jobs we see around us on a daily basis… all in the hopes to not only stay young and youthful for as long as we possibly can, but also to remain truthful and relatable to the people we’re speaking to.

Together, Amina and I are setting out to maintain with you all a very honest and transparent dialogue on what all of us guys and gals can do to look and feel our best. But remember, it starts with loving and accepting yourself first. Breaking out is ok, wrinkles are fine, and going gray is great!

 In Amina’s own words…

My approach to beauty is simple: when it comes to makeup, I’m all for less is more, but with skincare, more is just right. Taking care of ourselves (both mentally and physically) is key to the longevity of our youth.

I’m very much looking forward to being a part of “Let’s Face It.” Anum and I have talked about it for months, and what compels me to be a part of this platform is the similarities we share in our respective mentalities as women, professionals, and friends.

I’m starting off with my Top 5 products of the moment, which have found their way into my day to day routine; from serums to exfoliants because I believe the key to radiant and even skin is regular exfoliation and moisturizing.
